Spiritual growth can be difficult, especially if you are unsure of your next step. To help you, we have designed a spiritual assessment tool you can complete in about 15 minutes that will help you identify where you are now and then guide you forward.

The first section of your assessment helps identify what you believe about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. This section is aptly labeled, "Beginning Steps" because it is the starting point for anyone desiring to grow spiritually.

At Journey we have often said, "What you care about is more important than what you believe."

We obviously don't mean that it doesn't matter what you believe, but rather, your belief is demonstrated by how you live. This next section simply evaluates how your beliefs transfer into how you live your everyday life.

Jesus clearly told his followers that the two greatest commandments were to love God and love others. In fact, He said that all of the other commandments given in Scripture are dependent upon these two.

This next section identifies how you are doing in your vertical relationship with God and your horizontal relationships with others.

Each person on the planet was created with the same purpose: to glorify God. The way in which we accomplish this purpose is to use our uniqueness and giftedness.

This section will identify how you are doing in developing these gifts as a follower of Jesus.

Someone once said that we resemble Jesus most when we are serving others. Jesus Himself is not physically on the earth but his followers are his representatives that have been given the mission to make disciples. In many cases that begins with serving others.

The last section of this assessment reveals your activity in serving both believers and unbelievers.

Thanks for completing your spiritual assessment. The graphic below gives a quick picture of where you are spiritually. Each area of the pie fills from the inside out and measures your current level of growth. If the area of the pie graphic is only slighted shaded, it signifies you are 'just getting started' in that area. If the area of the pie graphic is mostly shaded it signifies you are 'doing very well.' And lastly, if you are somewhere in the middle, you have 'room to grow.'

In each category and level of growth we have provided recommendations that include books, bible studies, and online resources that will help you move forward. When you move your cursor over a resource and click, you are routed to an online site where you can view and order the materials.

Although you may begin to make progress by working through any number of resources shown, we highly recommend you make an appointment with someone on our Spiritual Growth Team who will sit down with you, talk through your assessment, and then help you make a customized growth plan.
