In Acts 1:8 Jesus instructs us that “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This means that we should tell our neighbors in the US about God’s love AND our neighbors all over the world about God’s love. At Journey, local missions and foreign missions are very important to us! Our philosophy from the early days of Journey, has been for us to partner with the missionaries that we support.
We believe that it is very important for everyone at Journey to understand what missions are all about and to help with this, we lead short-term mission trips to various parts of the world throughout the year. We partner with missionaries and organizations across the world, and have had people from Journey serve in Honduras, Guatemala, Uganda, and Venezeula.
Fall 2019 to Guatemala
Dates: April 23 – May 1, 2020
Guatemala is Journey’s newest international partnership. Chad and Jami Bader were the first missionaries sent out by Journey and currently live in Antigua, Guatemala. They have founded Transformando Vidas, a ministry committed to redeeming poor, isolated communities spiritually, socially, and economically to the glory of God.
