International Missions
In Acts 1:8 Jesus instructs us that “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This means that we should tell our neighbors in the US about God’s love AND our neighbors all over the world about God’s love. At Journey, local missions and foreign missions are very important to us! Our philosophy from the early days of Journey, has been for us to partner with the missionaries that we support.
We believe that it is very important for everyone at Journey to understand what missions are all about and to help with this, we lead short-term mission trips to various parts of the world throughout the year. We partner with missionaries and organizations across the world, and have had people from Journey serve in Honduras, Guatemala, Uganda, and Venezeula.
Upcoming Trips
Fall 2019 to Uganda
There is a possibility that this trip might go to Guatemala instead of Uganda.
Dates: October 15-25, 2019 (subject to change by 1-3 days)
Journey has a strong partnership in Jinja, Uganda with an organization, Arise Africa International. They are committed to planting churches throughout Uganda and caring for the poor and the fatherless in their country. They also have a children’s home that members of Journey have sponsored children from.
