Common Questions About Journey
What kind of church is Journey Church?
Journey Church is an independent non-denominational church. Our body of believers is diverse and comes from many denominations and backgrounds. Journey partners with denominations, groups, and organizations that offer vital help in assisting us to accomplish our mission in various areas, such as world missions and leadership development.
What is Journey Church all about?
We desire to make Jesus famous in our city, nation, and world, and our mission is to help people be disciples who make disciples. We define a follower of Jesus as someone who is fully surrendered, getting to know Him, and responding in obedience.
What can I expect when I attend?
You can expect a group of people who will love you and welcome you for who you are. You will see all different types of people, from all different walks of life, looking to move forward in their journey with Christ. You will find worship that is alive and relevant, teaching that is biblical, helpful, and inspiring, and an environment where you can come as you are and be accepted for who you are. In short, you will find a place where you can be comfortable just being you.

What do you have for my kids (birth-12th grade)?
We care about the next generation. We have age-appropriate environments for children and students where they learn about Jesus and how to follow Him. Journey Kids (birth-5th grade) meets on Sunday mornings during each gathering. When you enter the building on Sunday for one of our Gatherings, one of our guides will direct you to our kid-friendly environments. Journey Students (6th-12th grade) meet on Sunday nights.
What time should I get to church?
At least 15 minutes before the gathering so you have time to park your car, check-in your kids to the kids ministry and find your seat in the auditorium.
How long are your gatherings?
Each gathering lasts approximately an hour.
Where do I park?
Parking is all around our building and our parking team (in orange vests) and traffic cops will direct you where to go. If you are a first-time guest, please let our attendants know by turning on your emergency lights when you pull into the parking lot directly in front of the building. You may also park in the lots of surrounding businesses.
Do you have disabled parking and seating?
Yes, we do. Our parking lot team will direct you to the nearest disabled parking. Our hosts in the building will escort you to reserved seating.
Can I sit anywhere?
Yes, our friendly hosts are there to help you find a seat.
What do I have to wear, and do I have to bring anything?
Come as you are. The environment at Journey is casual and comfortable. You are not required to bring anything, but we encourage you to bring a Bible if you have one.
