Week 3 – Mission
Over the last two weeks you have spent time on two exercises. The first week helped you look back and identify people, experiences, and accomplishments that have shaped your life to this point. The second exercise helped you look forward to the end of your life to help you identify what you value and to secure a vision for your life moving forward. This week, we put those two exercises together in order to help you write mission statements for the various areas of your life. A mission statement will consist of what do, how you do it, and why you do it.
Example of a mission statement toward your family: “To be a Husband and Father who loves, serves, and leads his family (what) by listening, learning, and responding to their needs (how) in order to help them grow into all that God created them to be (why).

Using the information for the past two weeks, take time to write out mission statements for the following areas of your life with the final statement being your overall personal mission statement.
