Module 5.3 – The Complexity of Poverty

• Read this excerpt from Ch. 2 of “When Helping Hurts” about the complexity of poverty and how it impacts the type of needs we meet.
• Review the Levels of Intervention Handout.

Module 5.4 – Do For One

• Watch this message from Pastor Andy Stanley on a powerful principle for living generously.
• Spend some pondering the question “Who is my one?” and jot down your thoughts, observations, and action steps in your journal.

Module 5.5 – For the City

• Listen to God of This City by Chris Tomlin.
• Complete a Discovery Bible Study (DBS) on at least one key passage from the Key Scripture Handout in Module 5.1.
• Take a moment to review the different opportunities to engage in our city through one of our six city initiatives.
